Felton Acres is now Green Star Farm

We are a pasture and forage based multi-species farm located in the heart of West Sonoma County.  We move our animals frequently to new pastures so the forage component of their diet is frequently changed, which provides some variety thus improving quality.  Waste products are more evenly distributed so soil microbes can process them.  Wild food is what we'd like to emulate as closely as economically possible.  Everything on our farm is mobile.

We cannot raise properly healthy animals in every category on forage alone.  Where we do feed a commercial pellet or crumble, we have chosen certified organic feed that gets its protein from other beans and seeds besides the soybean.  There are at least 3 reasons we've moved away from soy and we'd love to chat with you about it at the farmer's market.  We are not fond of the "organic" certification we have chosen to get our farm Certified Naturally Grown. This has similar rules about chemical use but adds a pasture component to try to weed out factory organic farms. Our chickens are to Mary or Rosie as a fine handcrafted wine is to 2-buck Chuck.

You can purchase from us in 3 ways: farmer's markets, supermarkets, or direct at the farm with 48 hrs notice by emailing orders@feltonacres.com. The announcement box to the right contains farmer's market information and our eggs page lists which supermarkets carry our eggs. View our current price list here.

Pasture raised hogs, lambs, and goats are also available on the hoof as whole or half animals. We take deposits to reserve the next available animal in our online store.
